Hi, I'm Keenan Herron, a Computer Information Systems student at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC). I'm currently working toward my Associate of Applied Science degree and
expect to graduate in December 2026. My goal is to build a career in IT, with a particular interest in networking and hands-on technical support.
My interest in technology comes from enjoying the process of figuring out how things work and solving problems when they don't. Whether it is troubleshooting a computer, learning how
networks communicate, or setting up and configuring new technology, I enjoy working through a problem and finding a practical solution.
Throughout my coursework, I have gained experience with programming, data structures, databases, and information computing. While programming has been an important part of my education,
I have found myself most interested in networking and system administration. I am continuing to develop these skills through school projects, personal projects, and hands-on practice.
Outside of technology, I enjoy working out, watching football and soccer, playing the piano or video games, and traveling. I am also always trying to learn something new (I am self taught in 4 instruments!),
whether that means exploring a new technology or figuring out how something works.
I am currently a Retail Tech Support Intern at Fareway. Feel free to reach out to me using the Contact Me form found on this site.
